Our cellars will be stocked, the kitchens prepped and our halls decked with boughs of holly, ready to welcome you and your guests for the most magical festivities. All you have to do is choose between a two, three or four night break.
Christmas Eve
Start your festivities right. After a warming welcome of tea, coffee and cake, take some time to settle in, unpack and explore your home this holiday.
The evening is yours to plan, perhaps indulge in a locally-sourced dinner or some Mediterranean tapas, wholesomely prepared by our Christmas brigade. Let us know if you would like to dine in our restaurant and we can make all the arrangements.
During the late afternoon, join us in the bar for a glass of mulled wine to celebrate.
Christmas Day
Has he been? Awake to the enticing aromas of a freshly cooked English or continental breakfast filling the corridors.
But what next? Retreat to your room, stretch your legs or relax in the lounge, maybe even open a present or two before the chefs serve your traditional Christmas feast and champagne.
Ease yourself into the afternoon, begin your new book or crack open a board game before the King’s Christmas address to the nation begins, followed by Christmas movies and something a little sweet.
Before the evening begins to draws, can we tempt you with a light supper, followed by an evening quiz to test your festive knowledge?
Boxing Day
Enjoy another hearty winter’s breakfast before taking your wellies and waggy tails on Burley’s treasure hunt through our surrounding forest and heathlands.
Or if you’d prefer to quietly indulge, lay restful in the drawing room watching back-to-back Christmas movies.
Whatever you decide, make sure you reserve a table in our restaurant or grab a space in the drawing room to begin unwinding from the busyness of Christmas.

If you’re not quite ready to end your festivities just yet, why not leave your bags unpacked and extend your celebrations a little longer. With over 350 square miles of New Forest to explore, there’s bound to be something you haven’t seen?

New Year’s Eve
With an air of positive excitement and hope, begin the day with a wholesome Burley Manor breakfast. Time to explore the true New Forest treasures, whether you walk, run or cycle, be sure to look out for our neighbourly deer.
Time to add some sparkle and sophistication, put your glad rags on and enjoy a glass of perfectly chilled champagne and canapés before indulging in a delicious forest feast in our charming barn.
Take a breather before hitting the dancefloor and or retreating quietly back to your room for a restful snooze.
New Year’s Day
There’s no better way to welcome 2024 than with some well-deserved beauty sleep, so don’t worry breakfast will be served a little later than usual. Some friends will be heading home, but if you are staying, be sure to breathe in the natural forest air and venture outside. Calming your mind and body before the New Year gets into full swing.
In the afternoon, retreat back to your home away from home to watch the last of the Christmas movies and be sure to reserve a table in our restaurant for one final hurrah as you cheers to the season’s finest celebrations.
2nd January
Saying goodbye to old and new friends is hard, but don’t wave you away from the magical forest without a cracking breakfast and cheery smile.

Raise a glass to 2024 and welcome the New Year in style with a delicious six course set meal, worthy of celebrating.

A nod to the classic 12 days of Christmas, this December we’re opening the door to our Butler’s Pantry, so you and your nearest and dearest can enjoy an exclusive dining experience with our Executive Head Chef . There is simply no better way to celebrate the season.
Arrive at 6:30pm to a festive Christmas cocktail and cosy next to the warmth of our fire pit or the grandeur of our Drawing Room.
