The First of our Hideaway Huts

Nestled within our eight-acre estate, beneath the trees, our cosy double oak shepherds hut has been beautifully hand-crafted in Somerset, with the smallest of details, designed entirely bespoke to create the ideal hideaway for the perfect countryside retreat, all-year-round.

Breathe deep, you’ve arrived! Come on in and enjoy a slice of chef’s homemade welcome cake, with a freshly brewed tea or coffee from your kitchenette. You’ll even find a locally-made treat box of our favourites, including fruity dotty biscotti, creamy Burley fudge and a savoury bite from the Manor’s kitchen.

Once you’ve settled in and day turns to dusk, cosy up under a fluffy blanket in front of the wood-burning stove with a glass of your favourite tipple in hand – ordered from a press of a button on your in-hut digital concierge.

Taking relaxation to a whole new level, through a glazed walkway, you’ll find our free-standing William Holland roll-top copper bathtub, ready to sink into and soak your cares away, enveloped in the luxurious aromas of your Temple Spa bath oils.

Slip into your fluffy robe and stretch out on the comfiest handmade Naturalmat double bed ahead of you, complete with sumptuous eco bedding and extra plump cushions. Snuggle up under the covers and lay beneath a canopy of stars, gazing through the roof above and through the trees at the night sky over our quiet leafy corner of the forest; an unforgettable experience to treasure.

After a peaceful nights sleep, pull-up the blinds and be greeted by stunning views over our neighbouring deer park before enjoying breakfast in bed with your very own hand-delivered hamper complete with chef’s favourite artisan meats, cheeses, fruity breakfast pots and freshly baked goodies. Or, if you’d like to venture out into the grounds for the morning, simply join us in the Manor – just a short stroll away.
